Kathleen ("Kat") Neuhoff

Kat Neuhoff is dedicated to helping clients navigate some of life's most challenging transitions with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. She understands that family law matters often involve significant emotional and financial uncertainty, and she strives to provide clients with steady support throughout the legal process. Drawing on both her legal training and her background in psychology, Kat approaches each case with a unique understanding of the emotional and interpersonal dynamics that often accompany family law disputes. Education

Kat earned her Juris Doctor from UNT Dallas College of Law, where she developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, advocacy, and client representation. Prior to law school, she graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her background in psychology provides valuable insight into the interpersonal and emotional dynamics that often arise in family law matters, allowing her to approach client matters with empathy and understanding.

Kat attended The Hockaday School in Dallas, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for academic excellence, community involvement, and service to others.

Kat's experience spans a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody disputes, property division, protective orders, and post-judgment litigation. She has worked on cases involving complex financial estates, business ownership interests, interstate jurisdictional disputes, and high-conflict conservatorship matters. Her experience also includes appellate matters involving significant property and procedural issues.

  • Complex Property Division: Worked on matters involving business interests, extensive financial records, and issues related to the characterization and division of marital estates.
  • Child Custody and Conservatorship Matters: Worked on contested custody disputes, possession and access issues, and matters affecting the parent-child relationship.
  • Interstate Family Law Disputes: Assisted with jurisdictional matters involving multiple states and issues arising under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA).
  • Protective Orders: Worked on matters involving requests for emergency court intervention and protective relief.
  • Appellate Matters: Contributed to family law appeals involving property division, procedural issues, and trial court rulings.

Before joining McClure Law Group, Kat gained extensive experience working on family law matters throughout North Texas. Her experience includes all stages of litigation, from case development and discovery through mediation, hearings, trial preparation, and appellate proceedings.

Through her work on a wide range of family law matters, Kat has developed a strong understanding of both the legal and personal challenges clients face during litigation. These experiences have strengthened her ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
