Post-Divorce Modifications

The most common post-divorce modifications involve child custody, visitation, child support payments, access to a child and parenting plans. Generally, a material and substantial change of circumstance since the last court hearing must have occurred to request a modification, and the modification must be in the best interest of the child. Situations that may justify a modification include those where the parent paying child support experiences an increase or decrease in earning power or where the financial needs of the child have changed.

McClure Law Group applies the same principles and commitment to modifications as they would to the initial case in order to protect the clients’ best interests while minimizing the impact on the children.
