Fam. Code \u00a7 7.006(a).\u00a0 In a recent high net worth <a href=\"https:\/\/cases.justia.com\/texas\/second-court-of-appeals\/2025-02-24-00470-cv.pdf?ts=1757684203\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">divorce case<\/a>, a former wife challenged the final divorce decree, arguing she had revoked consent to the parties\u2019 settlement agreement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the appeals court, the parties were married for nearly 38 years when they petitioned for divorce. According to the appeals court, the wife\u2019s proposed property division valued the marital estate at more than $5 million. The parties reached an agreement during the trial on April 22, 2024. \u00a0The trial court stated it would adopt the agreement.
