Fam. Code Ann. \u00a7 153.072.\u00a0 Courts may grant exclusive rights to one parent when the other reuses to cooperate with respect to those aspects of the child\u2019s care.\u00a0 A father recently <a href=\"https:\/\/cases.justia.com\/texas\/sixth-court-of-appeals\/2020-06-19-00090-cv.pdf?ts=1597839320\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">challenged<\/a> a court order granting the mother a number of exclusive rights.<\/p>\n<p>The mother petitioned to modify the parent child-relationship.\u00a0 She requested the exclusive right to designate the primary residence without a geographic restriction so she could accept a job and move to Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p>The mother took a job in Monroe, Louisiana in 2015. The father also moved to Monroe, and they all lived there for several months.
